Job Description

Cloud Engineer is responsible for the deployment and management of Cloud services as laid out in the blueprints from the Platform and App Architects.

Responsibilities

• The Database should have string knowledge of Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL.
• Advanced administration experience with PostgreSQL Database engine
• Advanced experience with System Administration with Linux (Amazon, Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat)
• Advanced experience with Networking and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, traceroute, iperf, dig, curl or related)
• Advanced experience with PostgreSQL Database and Recovery design and implementation (Velero, Restic and PostgreSQL)

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills and experience
• Database troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Experienced setting up monitoring / alarming for production DB environments
• Database backup and recovery experience
• Experienced with Linux system monitoring and analysis
• Good understanding of distributed computing environments
• Prior working experience with AWS - any or all of EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, RDS
• Exposure to security concepts / best practices
• Expertise with Load Balancing, Iperf, MTR, netcat, and other network monitoring / troubleshooting tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Container concepts would be a plus
• Knowledge of version control/change management tools (GitLab, Subversion)
• Knowledge of Flexera, Go Lang, Kong API gateway, WSO2, Ceph/Rook, Grafana, Velero
