Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with X-ray product software and own a component, feature or a feature set
  • Take ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver, while mentoring and helping team members
  • Work cross functionally with other teams and contribute to design discussions
  • Take initiative and to explore alternate technologies and approaches to solving problems
  • Apply principles of SDLC, Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration
  • Seek opportunities to automate and continuously improve software components
  • Perform software troubleshooting and investigations of components and features
  • Continuously expand technical knowledge, keep abreast of emerging software technologies and apply them to the product software

 


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development
  • Proven hands-on experience with object-oriented programming languages, primarily C++
  • Skilled in core data structures and algorithms
  • Experience working on Linux based platforms
  • Working knowledge in configuration management tools
  • Strong analytical skills, and experience in software development lifecycle
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Waukesha, WI

 


Desired Characteristics:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 10+ years of software development experience with C++
  • Expert in writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for a project.
  • Experience working in complex software development projects
  • Strong oral, written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Adapt to new environments, changing requirements and pivots quickly as needed
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and offers new ideas.
  • Takes initiative to experiment with new software frameworks
