C# .Net Developer

Position Description
CGI is looking for a dynamic Developer to join a team supporting a core system for a large financial client in Cary, NC. We are looking for a Hands-on C# .Net Developer with 6+ years of experience in Enterprise level application development in .Net & C#, API Development, Python & Cloud (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) experience preferred.

The system has high visibility within the organization, and is used by many prominent stakeholders. This role offers flexibility of joining a team utilizing Agile methodologies to deliver high quality software to our customers. You will also have the opportunity to work with cloud based technologies on highly visible initiatives to highest level within the Organization.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Gather requirements from Business Analysts and document technical approaches.
• Design and development of functionality within the existing Power Retrieval product set
• Testing and quality assurance of your code to ensure minimal defects at source
• Use of appropriate source control and CI/CD frameworks
• Troubleshooting of issues in testing and other environments to resolve defects
• Contribution as a feature team member to the long term development of the product

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• You should have 6+ years experience with solving challenging software production problems
• Strong Experience in .Net Core, C#, building Microservices, Cloud Development (GCP/Azure/AWS), API Development (nice to have Python experience)
• Experience in solving problems, troubleshooting skills and software design patterns
• Experience in performance optimization and security enhancement
• Continuously strive to improve architectural standards and code quality (clean code principles)
• Experience in containerization tools such as docker
• Experience with Unit tests, Integration tests and System tests
• Nice to have some experience with CI CD (Ex GitHub Actions, Deployment with Kubernetes, etc.)
• Significant delivery experience, with experience of delivery within Agile Software Development
• Knowledge & working experience in SAFe and Agile framework.

3 years of Microservices experience
2 years of Google or Azure or AWS Cloud experience
4 years of CI/CD Tools experience

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's in Computer Science or Related Field.
