We are currently seeking a Linux Administrator to join our team in Irving, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Job responsibilities include:

• Perform performance tuning and hardware upgrades as required
• Perform Periodic COB tests and document the results
• Identify and analyze business requirements to integrate hardware, storage, operating systems and connectivity solutions in line with strategic direction
• Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on systems configuration and integration, performance analysis and optimization
• Design and impact timely delivery of resilient infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements and are stable, resilient, operationally supportable and cost effective
• Remediate vulnerabilities across the infrastructure estate with manual intervention, as well as automated solutions that can be adopted at scale
• Performance tuning and capacity management
• User and group administration
• Disaster recovery design and implementation
• Troubleshooting boot process issues on Linux Servers

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 plus years of experience performing Linux Administration
• 3 plus years of providing level 2 and level 3 support
• 3 plus years of Shell scripting

Preferred Skills:

• Linux L3 expert for server administration
• Expertise in OS , S/W, Patch Management, Product upgrades
• Experience in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
• Experience in clustering
• Ability to build and monitor services on production servers
• Load balancer and firewall concepts, security aspects, and virtual IP, DNS, DHCP concepts
• Understanding of Monitoring tools like Splunk, Sensu, ITM
• Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts
• VMware understanding and exposure
• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
• Experience in ticketing tools(SNOW)
• Good understanding of operational framework like ITIL/ITSM, operations process
• Linux certifications will be considered an advantage
• DevOps experience is a strong plus
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Team player and basic leadership skills
