The SAP HCM ABAP Developer is responsible for ensuring design and development systems meet specifications and requirements of the project and overall business needs. This role works alongside the other ABAP Developers, handling multiple tasks simultaneously. ROLE

• Develops quality code and its associated documentation adhering to team and departmental development standards.
• Collaborates with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of SAP software programs and applications.
• Provides SAP support including analysis, development, testing, tracking and resolution.
• Mentors less experienced team members on SAP programming concepts and tool suite.
• Participates in team activities and team planning in regards to improving team skills, awareness and quality of work.
• Responsible for continued personal growth in the areas of technology, business knowledge, and Costco policies and platforms.

REQUIRED

• 10+ years HCM ABAP experience using SAP in a professional environment.
• Minimum of 2 years’ of experience in UI5, OData, Gateway services, HTML5/JavaScript, and Fiori Launchpad configuration.
• Deep knowledge of various areas of HCM ABAP such as PCR, Payroll Function/Operation, Feature, Logical Database, MACROS, Creation/Enhancement of Infotype, Decoupled Infotype Framework, Infoset, Infogroup, Dynamic Action, HR Event Linkage, Ad-Hoc Query, HR Forms, Payroll Fetching techniques, etc.
• Implementing knowledge of integration/replication using SAP delivered pre-package solutions like Addon, Business Integration Builder-BIB, configurations of Web Services/Consumer Proxies, EC-ECC field mappings using BADI implementations, OData (Open Data Protocol) API, SuccessFactor API (SAFI), Compound Employee API etc.
• Design and implementation knowledge of Fiori Launchpad Services, Remuneration statement using Fiori/UI5.
• Hands-on techno-functional experience with HCM submodules such as Payroll (US/CA), Time Management, Benefits, Personnel Administration, Organization Management, SAP SF Employee Central, Learning Management.
• Experience in integration technologies like SAP PI, SAP Cloud Platform Integration, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), SOAManager, Web Services, Intermediate Document (IDOC), RFC’s, File Interface techniques, SOAP web services, REST web services.
• Experience with Development Methodologies: ASAP (Accelerated SAP), Agile (Extreme programming), Waterfall Model, V-Shaped Model.
• Experience with:
  • Configuring HCM Processes & Form using Fiori Form, Form Scenario, User Events, Process, Backend Services
  • UI5/Fiori enhancements and configurations, SAP Web-Dynpro, SAP FPM applications (Road map, tabbed & overview applications).
  • Enhancement Framework, Implicit/Explicit Enhancement User Exit, Business Adds-in, Screen Exit, Field Exit, Business Add-Ins, Substitution and Validation, Business Objects (BAPI and RFC), Reports (Interactive, Drilldown, Classic & ALV).
  • Object Oriented Programming, Dialog Programming, Modular Programming, Dynamic Programming, RFC (Remote Function Calls), BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface).
  • Unit test development and execution, including test script development.
• Direct and practical experience designing and extensively working in interfacing SAP HCM with different systems like WFM, MDM, IAM, WFA, iSeries, LMS, CRM, ADP, Mercer, BOFA, I9 Guardian, BenefitFocus, etc.
• Self-motivated, flexible, openness to learn new things, and a strong focus on customer needs.
• Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and exhibit a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to effectively mentor less experienced team members on SAP programming and testing techniques.
• Experience in successful project implementation and follow-up.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
• Ability to monitor and manage the progress of tasks.
• Basic knowledge of business systems environments.
• Good understanding of corporate IT policies, procedures and standards.
• Good decision making skills.
• Demonstrates a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritization.
• Demonstrates a high level of communication skills, verbal and written.
