THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
CDK Enterprise Information Technology has embarked on a transformation to re-imagine the foundational application architecture of our enterprise. We are looking for a Product Analyst to help us keep pace as our business evolves. As a Product Analyst, you will work with a variety of CDK teammates and a leading force for building world-class enterprise products and platforms in support of our transformation. The ideal candidate will have Product Analyst or Business Systems Analyst experience with software engineering teams that build custom applications, leverage SaaS applications and are comfortable working in an Agile environment. KEY ACTIVITIES:
In this role, you will play a lead role as part of a team focused on reimagining how to streamline and control project financial and project execution management processes end-to-end using ORACLE PPM tool.

STAKEHOLDERS:
You will get to work alongside very hard-working teams including engineering, product, program and business partners. Your work will be highly impactful in leading software engineering teams to efficiently deliver technical solutions that bring measurable value to solving critical business problems.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Partners with the business to understand and analyze their business challenges and opportunities.
  • Work as part of a dedicated software engineering team to develop and implement solutions.
  • Provides technical expertise and recommendations to address specific business needs.
  • Utilizes information from the business and software engineers to create detailed Agile features and stories.
  • Work with the business to determine value for each feature and leverage this in building a prioritized backlog.
  • Coordinates business, software engineering and QA resources to validate that new product features meet business expectations.
  • Validates that new product features are effective in the real-world. Assesses the extent that the new features realize the desired business value and looks for opportunities to refine and improve.
  • Performs other diverse tasks to support the ongoing success of the product such as: creating all levels of deliverables, assisting with policy and procedure development, product training, conducting business needs assessments and planning and advising senior management.
  • Participate in the configuration and ongoing management of the ORACLE PPM product, including evaluating and implementing new product releases.
  • Mentors junior product analysts.
  • Interfaces with and present to all levels of the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous analyst experience working as an analyst with a Delivery organization that supports complex, enterprise-grade software products.
  • Intermediate-level experience with Oracle PPM cloud is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain business partnerships
  • Proven ability to lead conversations with the business, including helping them organize their request priorities, making recommendations and influence decision making
  • Proven ability to lead/manage conversations with highly technical engineers, including being able to balance conflicting technical and business points of view.
  • Comfortable with software engineer technology such as prototyping and writing scripts
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Comfortable collaborating with highly technical software engineers and able to translate business problems into technical work that is consumable by software engineers.
  • Experienced in working with an Agile framework and a strong advocate of agile philosophies
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of experience as a Product or Business systems analyst, including 5+ years of experience working as an analyst with a PPM product. Oracle PPM Cloud is preferred, but offerings from other vendors such as Salesforce are acceptable
  • 2+ years in a software engineering or other technical role
