Job Description

The Role

• Collaborate within The Enterprise Architecture team, Enterprise Information Technology Teams, Solution Teams, Product Teams, and Executive Leadership
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses
• Define the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, and reference data
• Define the data reference architecture for the enterprise
• Collaborate and coordinate across multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors
• Adapt database systems and architecture as necessary to meet the needs of CDK
• Establish methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, compliance, and improvement
• Create strategies and plans for data capacity planning, data security, life cycle data management, scalability, backup and archiving
• Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, to ensure data quality
• Define standards for naming, describing, governing, managing, modeling, cleansing, enriching, transforming, moving, storing, searching, and delivering data within the Data Solutions Team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related area (data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in big data/ETL
• 3+ years experience with cloud technologies
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise data warehouses
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise data lakes
• Experience with Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, AWS, cloud data architectures, and experience with near real-time ETL
• Demonstrated experience in efficient handling of large data sets and relational databases
• Knowledge and experience working with ELT processes
• Experience with software for reliable, scalable, distributed computing
• Strong communication skills, particularly those relevant to translating highly technical information for non-technical audiences
