Maxar is looking for an experienced Sr. Front-End Web Developer to join our team. This role can be based remotely in the US, preferable locations are Westminster, CO, Herndon, VA. This role will report to Maxar’s Director of Digital Marketing.

You will be responsible developing and delivering outstanding user experiences for web-based applications The right candidate is a detailed, organized self-starter and the ultimate team player. You will have a proven track record in building forward-thinking web solutions that are WCAG accessible, deliver an outstanding end-to-end user experience that meet customer needs, and drive business results.

Translate design and interaction requirements to a solution which is fully functional in the Maxar’s web environment and across all web browsers, including mobile devices (iOS, Android). Designs, prototypes, develops, and implements Internet-based UI/UX solutions using a number of digital frameworks and strategies.
Identify and solution key business and technology drivers that impact architectures, including end-user requirements, existing software distribution capabilities, existing application environment (including legacy and packaged systems), and performance/availability requirements.
Partner cross-functionally to deliver high-quality projects on time, ensuring an outstanding end-to-end customer experience and enabling technology to drive business results.
Develop and maintain web assets including corporate site, blogs, microsites, and landing pages. Implement analytics tags.
Partner with IT and enterprise security teams on server and site security projects including complying with international standards of security. Ensure compliance of technology solutions with architectural/security standards and participation in the full development life cycle of the delivered capability.
Assist with user testing, automated testing, and QA testing of code and designs.
Manage and lead a team of one full-time developer.

Minimum Requirements

US Citizen or permanent resident
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; or four additional years of work experience.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in developing and maintaining websites and user experience development of dynamic internet applications.
Experience with multiple CMS and web hosting platforms
Minimum of 5 years` experience developing enterprise sites and applications, responsive interfaces (including optimization for mobile and tablet), email campaigns, and other user experiences (UX) and interaction.
Experience migrating, managing, and updating a portfolio of websites with frequent updates.

Preferred Qualifications:

Communication skills, to explain technical concepts effectively to team members or clients
Previous experience with AWS
Strong project management skills
5+ years of experience with modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, CSS frameworks and pre-processors
5+ years’ experience in developing, maintaining, and improving the infrastructure and back end of enterprise .coms built on Content Management Systems.
Proficient in MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and high degree of initiative to drive projects to completion.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Experience with CraftCMS a plus
Experience customizing embedded MapBox maps a plus
